White Skin

Here's a simple bust commission.
I was excited to paint white skin and studied how other artists handled it. I wanted to convey the contrast between her white skin and her colorful hair and makeup. I tried to paint different textures for her shirt and scarf. I wanted to make the scarf a more shiny and silky texture, while the shirt more matte with specks of glitter. Lastly, I decided to keep the details of the background to a minimum, to add focus to the subject.
